Refurbishment highlights, condition notes and restoration video linked below.

Refurbishment Work

  • Nearly full recap of electrolytics throughout the audio & power supply sections
  • Full calibration of record, playback & bias circuits
  • Transport mechanisms cleaned, lubricated; tape path polished & demagnetized
  • Rail switches disassembled, cleaned, rebuilt for reliable channel switching
  • Heads aligned, azimuth verified; noise floor & channel balance tested

Condition & Notes

  • Transport, electronics and meters are fully functional and stable.
  • Internal speakers are non-working.
  • Veneer shows wear & peeling in areas — nearly every TC-730 has similar veneer issues.
  • Cosmetic vintage wear consistent with age; full functionality prioritized.

Why Buy Serviced?

Unserviced units may appear to work at first glance but often suffer from issues under real-use: slipping transports, noisy switches, mismatched channels or weak record capability. This unit is built for long-term enjoyment—not just “looks like it works.”
